The CICA will deduct from your loss of earnings compensation ANY benefit you have recieved from state benefits, insurance payouts and compensation awarded by criminal or civil courts. Simply, you cannot benefit twice.
Your standard tariff award is NOT AFFECTED by this. So, if you only receive a standard award and NO loss of earnings award, then you should in usual circumstances suffer NO DEDUCTION by the CICA.
